Al,
The choice of plastic has been discussed here before so you might also want
to check the archives. If my memory works at all, I think there was a slight
preference towards the clear plastic. It works better to kill and
semi-sterilize.
My $.02, clear plastic works best in summer. Black plastic works better in
winter. I have tried both and on the 2 test beds, the black plastic did
better in winter. Both work, one takes longer than the other or doesn't do as
good a job at preventing new growth.
