SHOW: query

Just a question about how the Best Specimen is selected at other
shows:

On p. 207 in the Judges' Manual, it says that "a secret ballot
is _recommended_ for the final judging of the Best Specimen of
the show"...

*Does anyone actually do this? I, for one, think it is a good
idea.

I judged a show yesterday and, as in all shows I have judged, a
show of hands was done to determine the placement after much
discussion. Also, do any of you have all the show committee
members privy to the discussions ... not only just the Show
Chairman? The chair had to cast the tie-breaking vote yesterday
for one of the rosettes that club awards.

Still 'recovering' from that show leaving the house at 6:30 am
and returning at 7:30 pm.
