I don't know anything about any of the other irises in your "possibles" 
list for your pale yellow, so I'll leave that up to one of the HIPS 
experts to address.  However, ELSA SASS has such extremely dark PBF that 
extends so far up the foliage, I don't believe it would be possible for 
her to grow *anywhere* without displaying it.  There are many other cvs 
listed on my PBF page that display only slight amounts of purple color in 
some gardens and none in others, but when a cv is very strongly PBF, it 
seems to be reported as such by everyone who grows it.
