Betty -- Do you have a post-able photo of that variegata? I like im, too. And what's wrong with blooming in October? Sure, that's too late for some northern climes, but I have IB and TB rebloomers, here at the tip-top of zone 7, that bloom in October, November and December -- even occasionally gracing the Christmas table. -- Griff

Hi Betty,
I certainly understand your reluctance to introduce anything that isn't REALLY special, but I guarantee that: if you love that variegata seedling enough to want to line it out, that there will be a lot of other people who will love it too. Surely there will be people who don't like it, but that's always going to be the case with any introduction - even the Dykes medal winners get trashed. You've been doing this for long enough (and definitely mentally invested ;0) that I'm pretty sure you're not going to be blind to the faults in your seedlings. So if you love it, it's got to be good enough. 
Now I expect to see future photos of it lined out and in full bloom ;0)
