The October rebloom for you often ends up being earlier in cooler climates. Bud set is temperature related, and rebloom can only happen after bud set happens. For bud set you need temperatures between 16-21C or 60-72 at night. Chuck Chapman -----Original Message----- From: J. I like im, too. And what's wrong with blooming in October? Sure, that's too late for some northern climes, but I have IB and TB rebloomers, here at the tip-top of zone 7, that bloom in October, November and December -- even occasionally gracing the Christmas table. -- Griff Griffin's Den http://www.pilmore.com/griffinsden/default.html Zone 7 along the tidal Potomac near Mount Vernon, in Virginia ----- Original Message ----- From: "thomas silvers" <tesilvers@yahoo.com> To: "iris-talk" <iris@hort.net> Sent: Wednesday, June 30, 2010 6:28 AM Subject: [iris] Re: :HYB:Goals:Preferences(was Limbo Seedlings) > Hi Betty, > I certainly understand your reluctance to introduce anything that isn't > REALLY special, but I guarantee that: if you love that variegata seedling > enough to want to line it out, that there will be a lot of other people > who will love it too.
