FYI,
The New York Times has done an article on irises yesterday (Sunday Times).
The Presby Memorial Iris Gardens In Upper Montclair, NJ are discussed and
the garden supervisor is interviewed.
The much discussed Titan' s Glory is treated this way "Yuck, I hate these big
blowsy types -it's like one of those puffed-up pastries in tacky diners"
This quote is from the writer not the gardener.
The Presby gardens feature historic irises and state 4000 varieties are grown
in a six acre mountain side park.

also on the web in complete form somewhere. This article is in the Metro
section, Sunday June 8, page 54. I have this on my bookmark and note that
the net Times contains an index which may help find the article.
A note to Bob Keup, if you are reading this. We saw you garden Saturday and
were accosted by a neighbor who was checking up. Rams. Jane, Ed and I were
there about 45 minutes Saturday afternoon!
