White Iris

We have had one of our iris blooming like crazy this week.  It is very
tall with bloom stalks that range from 49 to 55 inches in height.  The
entire bloom is white and fairly large.  We have no idea where we got it
nor what its name might be.

Any ideas?

Also, can you safely dig up rhizomes and keep them out of the ground for
replanting in the fall?  We're trying to rearragne our beds and would
like to do this if it is possible.
