This is the second year I have bloomed GERALD DARBY. It bloomed with the
Louisianas, but right now it is still blooming, the Louisianas are about
gone, and the Japanese iris are opening. I guess because I like BIG flowers
I may have shortchanged it a little, but it is very pretty in its own
delicate way, and certainly the foliage is a wonderful, clean blue-green.
It grows well here in the Tennessee rain forest, where we have now had rain
for 16 consecutive days. Or maybe it's 17. I'm suffering from a brain cloud.
Julie Allen Sparta, TN zone 6 where it's colder than Maine right now.
