Peter,

I do not have iris borers, fortunately,  but have read many messages on
this list concerning that evil "bug".  Things are somewhat slow on the
list so you may not get a good response right away.  I didn't want you
going away thinking that this is not a good forum for answers.

Anyway, from what I have gleaned about borers, most people who have them
prefer Cygon.  I'm not sure just when to apply it.  Some people have
talked about temperature.  When the temperature reaches a certain degree
then you should spray.  Then two weeks after.  I'm being somewhat vague
as I'm writing this from memory.  Perhaps someone will see me
floundering and help me out.  Maybe Dennis Stoneburner could give you
the details.
