Marte and others have been writing about the Canada Thistle which, as
people have already explained, cannot be blamed on Canada! If this is a
serious problem or you have similar problems with noxious plants, may I
suggest that you get a copy of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers CD-ROM
entitled "Noxious and Nuisance Plant Management Information System".
This is an excellent CD that has been made available during the last few
months by the Corps along with another one on Zebra Mussels. It
contains information on the various species and on herbicide treatmentm
etc. They sent me a free copy and, as far as I can tell, there is no
cost for the public. I obtained my copy from the author, Dr. Michael J.
Grodowitz in Vicksburg, Mississippi where he can be reached by e-mail
at GrodowM@mail.wes.army.mil.
