Tom, sorry to get you excited. It is a susiana hybrid from theASI 96 sale,
originating from David Shahak. I have the sale brochures filed away
somewhere but Sharon has assurred me that it would not be the species.
As I plumb the dank depths of my memory, I do recall that information but
when it arrived it was simply labelled susiana and that got transferred to
the garden stake. Once on a stake in the garden it became translated to a
fact in my mind. Nevertheless I hope to see it bloom and not knowing what
to expect will make the anticipation all the greater.
Does David Shahak have the species?
Just a bit disappointed
