Hi Patrick,
I question the validity of the notion that wet pollen is no longer
viable. I have had takes on crosses that have been made with wet pollen ( in
fact fairly well soaked pollen ). I never let wet pollen stop me from trying a
cross. Certainly if the opportunity presents itself you can apply fresh pollen
should things dry out. Maybe it is time to do some controlled tests to see if
there is any truth to this long held belief. Food for thought. Have a nice
