So you see, the point I was trying to make was, if you just give the
abbreviation for your state, you should not assume that everyone knows where
you live. It gives me the impression that most people on the list assume
that everyone else lives in the U.S.
The abbreviations I gave (see above) are the states and territories of
Australia, that great southern land that we Aussies are proud to call home.
Unless I Identify my country as Australia, I should not expect anyone to
understand them.
If you live in Canada, the U.S. or anywhere else, and you go to the trouble
of saying which state you live in, why not go to that tiny little extra bit
of trouble, and add country to your signature. You may help this become a
truly 'global' list.
