A note from the Arizona desert: It's SNOWING here today just outside
of Tucson - our first cold and first appreciable precipitation since
last July. It has been very dry and warm this winter with many days
in the 70's & 80's(F.), fruit trees are blooming (not good)and buds
are coming on the roses. I still have many Dutch iris, tulips, and
daffodils in bloom. TB's blooming are His Royal Highness, Zurich,
Waves of Grain (Byers), Gardenlite (M. Dunn), and Arizona Sandstone
(T. Taylor 2000). Stalks are up on Scented Bubbles, Rock Star
(Byers), and Splashdance(AB)(Shepard). Hopefully the moisture will
help avert a hard freeze.
