CULT: First Bloom - 2000

From: wmoores@watervalley.net

GENETIC BURST, an arilbred by Henry Danielson, opened
overnight. This March 10th bloom is the earliest it has ever
bloomed for me in MS. Last year, it bloomed on March 20, so
does this mean that our season will be ten days ahead of last
year's? I hope not because we were 'on time' in '99, and bloom
was at peak for our show.

We have had 70's and 80's for the last two weeks, but a near
freeze is forcast for Sunday morning with all of next week having
temperatures down into the sensible sixties as highs. The foliage
has never looked better, but I worry about a frost. Rot has been
non-existant.

the loropetalum, aka razzleberri, fringe bush and would do a
Johnny Appleseed on them if he could).
