Re: TB:Abbey Road & Jersey Cream

Doesn't Beta-Carotene Show up as Orange in flowers? . I have seen pictures of Thornbird in Schreiners, with green gold falls with no violet blaze. Mine are more ivory to pastel brown with a strong medium violet blaze. I am in the same zone as Schreiners. I would suspect my soil to be more alkaline. Perhaps that is the difference.

perhaps climate should be blended in? would the degree
of beta-carotene fluctuate from the mild winters of
the southwest to the wind chill factor winters of the
  mid-west and northeast?

would the beta-carotene fluctuate from the rainy
pacific northwest to the dry arizona, or new mexico
  climes?

can agree that soil composition and fertilizer
enhancements do have an impact, but think it logical
to believe that these are not the only influencing
  factor(s) in determining beta-carotene content.

  Best regards, Martin
