DE will be available at any pool supply store. It is organic in the
sense that it is a product of the life process, but not in the chemical
sense of having biogenic carbon. It is microscopic shells of various
marine wee beasties.
Inhalation has been linked with cancer. Read up on it (including the
archives of this list), and decide for yourself how much caution to use,
including whether to use DE at all.
