At the time when a borer would be working its way down it would be too small
to feel. Less than 3/4" long. Right now all there is eggs.
And for Walter most growers try not to send borer damaged rhizomes but it is
not a perfect world. Send me your address off list and I will send a few
borers next summer. ;-) A thin wire with a hook bent on the end is great
for fishing out those buggers.
