I wonder if anyone realizes that EVERY iris is a "GMO" with the exception of
pure species stock, and I defy anyone to prove that even they haven't been
tinkered with sometime or other in human history.
All the hoo-rah reminds me of a certain witty shepherd that made a deal with
the guy he worked for--all the plain colored goats ("good" ones) belonged to
the boss, all the spotted ('defective") ones he'd take care of himself.
Then as the nanny-goats came into heat, he made durned sure only spotted
billys had access to them.
Guess who got rich.....
Now, talk about GMO's, the descendants of those spotted billys qualify--every
one of them--the only test tube involved was his wit. Otherwise, the story is
the same.
For that matter, the bt-corn seed and pollen is so mixed into the non-bt corn
at this stage, *nobody* knows where is where and which is which. I hope no
one in your county has a hankering for Corn Flakes. Better tell Albertsons,
etc., they better take it and most of the rest of Kellog's off the shelves.
