Yes, we can get very heavy rains at this time of year in the southeastern
area of the province. It mainly comes in August here, but these rains usually
only seem to cause leaf spot not rot. My main problems with rot occurs in the
spring.


As for the iris I have I shall have to rescue it first so it might be
a year or so before it blooms, but if I can find out anyway to identify
it I will let you know.

If what you have is CHINESE TREASURE and it does well for you, I'd like
to know. Since it was hybridized in OZ, it should be able to handle our
hotter climate.


Do you ever get heavy rain in the summer?  Where's my map of Canada &
North American rainfall patterns....
