Yes, we can get very heavy rains at this time of year in the southeastern
area of the province. It mainly comes in August here, but these rains usually
only seem to cause leaf spot not rot. My main problems with rot occurs in the
spring.
As for the iris I have I shall have to rescue it first so it might be a year or so before it blooms, but if I can find out anyway to identify it I will let you know.
