HYB: Crump sdlg 01J14/Romantic Evening

Griff Crump posted a gorgeous photo of a red on red seedling to
iris-photos.  Neil commented on parent ROMANTIC EVENING doing well a lot
of places.

Griff, all of the cultivars in your sdlngs pedigree grow well here, but
the first two are severely damaged by the really bad roller coaster
warmth/deep freeze weather.  I haven't grown RE during any really bad
seasons here.

So the big question I have is what is the bloom season for 01J14?

Your location near the coast usually avoids the extremes in the
rollercoaster we get, but I am interested in hearing how it (compared to
the parents) does after last night's freezer.

<That's my favorite type of branching, and I breed for it.  By chance,
though, this
                   seedling isn't from that line and just happens to
have that same branching.  The
                   parentage is 984M7: (CHAMPAGNE ELEGANCE x LADY
FRIEND) x ROMANTIC EVENING.
