Linda, my version of the wick applicator is called a Red Weeder and is made  
in Oregon. Although I have had it for several years, this is the first I have  
used it. For me the problem seems to be that the flow is to slow and no 
amount  of shaking and bouncing would really get the pad wet although the entire 
amount  was finally used on about 500 feet of path.It remains to be seen how 
effective  it was.
