As I think about the seedlings I've grown so far that produce the
strongest consistently tall stalks, they all seem to be
purple/pallida-ish influenced stuff - tall dark and handsome (DUSKY
CHALLENGER X GRAPE ICE), sibs, and children, HELEN COLLINGWOOD's
children, PINK FORMAL's bee children.

But these are the survivors of that type - plenty that aren't tall (or
alive).
