how new iris are classified (was Re: iris heights)

This is the hybridizer's prerogative. Of course a misclassified
iris may arouse hostility from the judges. (However, judges
are sometimes disappointingly easily impressed, as when a
median iris grows to large for its class, but gets awards
anyway because it's "spectacular")
