Absolutely! Chris (I think) suggested this early on in the history of the
list. It would be truly wonderful to have the checklist data on CD-ROM
(as a true database, not just the text). It would also be a lot of work:
simple scanning would not do it, because the information in each entry
would have to be intelligently assigned to database fields. But the
payoff for iris research and breeding would be tremendous.

I think Clarence, being AIS VP, and recently having made a small fortune
through his so-called Iris Pond, is in an excellent position to launch
and fund this project!  ;)  How 'bout it?
