In the 80's, looks like 70 to 90% of new introductions were bearded, maybe
slightly less in the 90's - 50 to 80%.
if we had the registrations on cd rom and if i had a computer with a cd rom
and if i had a stat package and if it were winter and i couldn't go outside,
i would be able to easily and accurately describe trends in registrations.
but this is a reasonable wild guess. probably.
