David - sounds like an opportunity for enhancing/expanding the gene pool for
domisticated varieities. and maybe an opportunity for an entrepreneur to
propagate i. lacustris for seeds or plants for re-introduction by the
Recovery Team. I produced seeds of the federally endangered Tennessee
Coneflower for its recovery plan in tennessee. nothing like being paid (a
small amount) to grow a patch of a beautiful rare plant.
has mike contacted native plant nurseries which might have experience with
propagating either i. cristata or lacustra?
