Yes, Linda that arises another question! How sensitive is the irispollen.
and how longlived. We have a tree species here that have to be pollinated within
2 - 3 hours, after that the pollen is dead.
Another example: if you get to high temperature when growing tomatoes(i think it was)
the pollen dries out and you never get any tomatoes). 

And furthermore do any of you know what Iris species that easyli can be grown
from seed (dried seed). 
And what species that need to be sowed from fresh seeds.
