I can certainly relate. It reminds me of the year we had an unusually heavy, as
well as late, snow & ice storm. I was working my way through the garden,
de-icing pods with a pitcher of warm water, when one of my neighbors showed up
with her camera. Couldn't quite believe what she had seen, and didn't expect
anyone else to believe her without proof.

BTW - I lost none of the de-iced pods, though the untreated ones didn't survive.
