length of time freezing seeds

Hi folks,
Could anyone please tell me how long seeds need to stay in the
freezer before they can be taken out for germination? There was a
discussion in the last 2 months about freezing seeds etc but I
can't remember if anyone said how long they should be frozen. I've
put my seeds in the frosty freezer in potting soil in pots in a
plastic bag. How long should they stay there? It would nice if I
had a whole winter to do it but I only got the seeds in the last
month from SIGNA. Anybody have any advice? They are I setosa var
Alaska, Artica and I hookeri seeds. TIA.
