Chris replies:
I think that this brings us to the question that I have been wondering
about for a while now, when is an iris OFFICIALLY in rebloom or first
bloom?
So, is iris rebloom defined as:
Just after regular bloomtime?
Later in the autumn?
Only until an arbitrary date like Dec 31st!!??
Anytime?

I would hazard a somewhat informed guess that regular bloom could be
defined as the time of year when the majority of the type of iris in
question normally blooms. (i.e. for TB's here where I live in southern
Ontario, early June)
I would also surmise that rebloom would be ANY other time.
Thus, I think that in Lloyds case with MATRIX he is seeing a rather
extra late rebloom or very early rebloom, depending on your point of
view or reference!!! Unusual, yes, but possibly the beginning of a
future blurring of distinction between NORMAL bloomtime and REBLOOMtime.
I hereby cast my vote for the future lines of ANYTIME blooming iris!

Any other thoughts on this?
