Welcome to the list, Brian Efford. Things were so boring until you arrived,
and the level of participation has been so much improved since you joined in,
that I feel compelled to say, "Thank you."  

I do not know whether Ian is your brother, father, or son, but he is very
knowledgeable when it comes to irises and has made many constructive
contributions to this list.  I feel certain that he is unaware that we have
been doing it all wrong, as I know he would have told us had he known.  

I feel so foolish have participated in a list that is being operated so
improperly, and so guilty for having enjoyed it! But now that I am
enlightened I will continue to participate, but am firmly resolved to stop
enjoying it. No more guilt! No more shame!  Again, many thanks, Clarence
