Okay, here's a question for the general readership:
I have a friend here who is a landscape designer, and she has (unfortunately,
in my opinion) landed a wealthy but impatient and not too realistic new
client. He wants to put blue and purple TBs (generic) along an adobe wall--72
of them, to be exact. And he wants them blooming this spring. He also wants
to have a green lawn within two weeks, but that's a different story.
I told my friend that this isn't the generally accepted time to be planting
iris--she knows that anyway. But worse, I don't know anywhere she could find
them available for sale at this time of year unless they are potted. So, does
anyone know of a source for potted not-necessarily-named blue and purple iris
that would be willing to ship to Santa Fe, New Mexico?
Barb, in Santa Fe, where I'm not willing to dig MY iris in spring!
