Santa Fe Iris Society uses this idea not only to supply our area with new
irises and to make money, but also to encourage members to come to the
meetings. In order to qualify to take home a new acquisition, you have to
have been present at at least two of the first four meetings of the year. If
you're not interested in showing up for these meetings, then, sorry, you can't
play. THis actually works (and we would always prefer one member who is
active to two who are "members" in name only).
