>A few years ago, during the third week in September, we received Siberian
>Iris Rhizomes from Clarence Mahan (Iris Pond). They arrived healthy.

> Iris Pond sent outstanding plants to us.
I also received plants from the Iris Pond last summer and I think
those I received were grown in Clarence's own garden since I
'nagged' him to hurry up and send them since the Zone 3 frost
season is so early.
By the time the first frost hit, they were nice and rooted and
looking very green and perky. We will tell you more when the
darn snow disappears and the pine needles and dirt come off
all the beds. I have a long time to worry every year which is a
down side of a cold climate. :-(
I have every hope of seeing great looking Iris Pond plants in my
garden. :-)
We are getting up at 4 am to see the comet...or at least my
husband says he is....
Good-night,
Ellen
