Bill isn't sure about what do about Benlate/benomyl (the later is the active
ingredient, the former the brand name.
Bill - PLEASE do not use this chemical. It has proven links to birth
deformities.
We use Systhane 6W (myclobutanil is the active ingredient) and it not only
stops fungal leaf spot - it also stops rust and just about any other fungal
disease - in fact, it not only stops them once they have occured, but can be
used as a 100% effective preventative spray. It is incredibly safe - one of
the newer chemicals that really pokes old-school chemicals in the eye. It can
also be safely mixed with insecticides for a one-spray-kills-all treatment.
It can be sprayed over any ornamental and many food crops.
Now stepping down from my soap box (just like Honest John's - that's our
Prime Minister for those who don't know)
