>Maybe Bill it has something to do with the type of soil used. Here in
Western Virginia, Clay + pH of 7.0 for Bearded Irises = success. pH Lower
than 6.8 will cause poor growth and bloom. Even lower pH means no growth and
very little to no bloom. I would be curious what others have to say on this.
