Hello, All!
I would like to find this iris that was talked about in the World of
Irises, p. 123 under the History of Median Irises. In addition to the
irises my Mom grew, I would like to collect irises that have names of
the members of my family. "Chewink" was my Uncle Phil's pet name for my
younger sister, as he lived in Apalachicola, Florida at the time and the
little birds were in residence there. I think some of the others might
be birds too; Siskin (pine siskin), Pewee and Kinglet? Others mentioned
that aren't birds are Daystar, Widget, and Nambe.
Has anyone seen these? Richard Sparling is not online, is he? I didn't
see him in the e-rolodex.
