Strange how iris are affected in different parts of the country. Here
the SDB's usually bloom first, a week ahead of the Arilbreds. I never
bother to freeze pollen within the same season. I have successfully
used SDB pollen on late talls, sometimes as much as a month apart.
BTW, my named SDB's are beginning their spring bloom and my seedlings
are about to explode into peak bloom by early next week.
