Gary, we have three of the varieties you asked about. We have had COMING
UP ROSES for 2 years. It seems a bit frost tender, but is tough. We moved
it late last fall from a very rough spot and it is doing fine. I think
maybe it just takes a while to settle in. It increases quite well here.
CITOYEN is extremely prone to late frost damage. It looked great last
spring. A fairly mild cold spell in May almost killed it! All the fans
died back. We bleached and bleached it and trimmed all the leaves off. It
lived and increased. A few weeks back we were forecast for a 40 degree
drop in temperature in a few hours. I read about a new rot treatment in
the ASI bulletin. We watered it with a gallon of water containing 2
aspirin. Also used it on some arils and BC. Very minimal damage! Better
use it again today. BLUE SUEDE SHOES is my new pet. It rebloomed for us
about a month after we planted it last summer. It has grown and increased
well since then and looks good now. Beautiful flowers; good pollen.
