Re: OT: weather humor

Hello folks,

Well, the weathermen can't make up their minds. Our
predicted low temps for tonight and tomorrow night are
changing every couple of hours, sometimes up, sometimes
down. While I was out parachuting some of the iris beds
and boxing some other selected plants and laughing at
myself for indulging in ridiculous behavior - I remembered
what my grandmother (not he one who grew irises, the
one who grew oak trees) once told me when it occurred to
me to ask (being completely frustrated with the weather
patterns while I was trying plow and plant a grain field
while working a 9 to 5 job) how one earth did they manage
when it was imperative they succeed in order to eat for
another year. Her answer was simple "a body's got to try."
Today, I guess I felt compelled to try.

I don't know. Those parachutes look sort of right above
the arilbred bed. Sort of like a tent billowing in the desert -
and we have that lately. Kind of suits their heritage, somehow.
The silk is so light it just brushes against the fans and them
moves on without seeming to do any damage. And those
hernia inducing rocks still laying around where I've dug them
out so I could plant irises there in the first place came in handy.
