RE;CULT;SPEC: I. Schachtii

From: "Jan Jacobsen" <jacobsen.dorph@get2net.dk>

Hi Jan and all
Iris schachtii is a very beautiful little iris, that are best grown in a welldrained soil preferably with full sun, require a dry period during summer,so in case of heavy rain the growing spot should be protected.
The soil should contain some lime, and sand, the top 3cm could be clippings ,coarse sand ,small pepples or whatever available. Water with some fertiliser during spring growth.
Try to keep the soil rather dry during winter in case of frost!! can stand temp down to -20C if kept dry:
Good luck
