I switched to the Brother "P-Touch" machine a couple of years ago and love
it. Doesn't fade (thusfar). Can't say that for the poor ol' Dymo label
tape that faded and cracked after a couple of years.
With 1500 irises, 1300 daylilies, 500 gladiolus, and 300 dahlia varieties,
the cost was OUTRAGEOUS. But in the end, I think it will be worth the
"investment", and they LOOK so much better.
I use name of iris, classification (if other than TB) in the center "row",
and then hybridizer and year of introduction on third row.
They held up nicely after last summer here -- so they'll hold up to
anything -- 50+ days at 100 degrees plus.
