I know that we have beat this subject to death but just one thing I
would like to mention. When I got tired of my labels eating me alive I
screwed them down to the landscape timbers that my beds are edged in.
Now this won't work if you don't edge your beds with wood but boy is it
nice if you do. It extends the life of the label and keeps them from
chewing you up. Another benefit is that the lables are flat and the
font is large enough for reading while standing up! No more hunting for
that label; dogs, cats, deer, kids, none of them can haul them out of
the ground because they are screwed to the wood.
