I thought I had answered, Pat, but guess I pushed the X instead of "send" I
have all the books you listed except Glasgow's., They are all good for
reference but not for just gardening. Grosvenor's Flower of the Rainbow is
absolutely breath=taking, you'll be mesmerized just turning the pages,
gorgeous pictures with lots of our country's irises that you'll know (it's
from Australia) BUT . and this is important, the book that you really want
for gardening is new and it is the first non-AIS book that has been
available from the AIS Storefront. It will be advertised in the April AIS
Bulletin and the Spring Reblooming Iris Recorder. Both should be "out" soon.
Before I forget -- the name is The Gardener's Iris Book by William Shear/
It is full of color pictures and "how to" illustrations from the very basic --
It is for the experienced as well as the novice - there is something for
everyone and clearly expressed. You will not be disappointed, unless they
sell out before you order! It retails for $25.00, but AIS has made a deal and
you can get it from the Storefront, including postage for $17.00. OR you can
order 10 for $14.00 each, which is a good deal for a club order -- or for
gifts. AND come to the National in Oklahoma and get yours autographed!

we are threatened with rain - a soggy mess! ryfigge@aol.com
