Re: OT-HUMOR: Ode to Rot

From: HIPSource@aol.com

A dear friend has asked to contribute this to our collection on the theme.

Anner
------------------
with apologies to e.e.cummings

what if a rush of a reek of a rot
wrenches the soul of late winter's day;
staggers with stench and stretches the dream
into the rendering remains of an iris?
Grow into not and not into now
(grow sweet to sour and hope to gone)
---the hunger for beauty is with us still,
the struggle continues, the day still dawns.

The Masked (with good reason) Poet
