Sharon, Luella Danielson told Kevin Gormley to fertilize in February.
Does this sound right, Rita? Our aril and arilbreds never went dormant
on the south side of the house, maybe because they are literally right
up against it, and it is a brick house. They did go dormant on the east
side, but have greened up and are growing since February. It did not
get to -20 degrees F. here this winter, which is what gave us the
designation of Zone 5b. It was only -10, and only for a few days. At
least the weather hasn't ever broken the 70s here yet all winter, rarely
the 50s and 60s, so nothing is terribly confused yet; but I am waiting.
