Cindy,
Don't know where you got Dusky Challenger, but may I suggest that you buy
another rhizome from another source. In my garden, Dusky Challenger has very
large rhizomes. Perhaps, the largest of any iris in the garden. A slow to
medium grower that always blooms. Even though I could hope for slightly
faster increase (showing my greed here), the only real fault I can find is
with the bud count--usually 4. If I could find a way to retard the size of
the bloom, I figure the bud count would go up.
Betty Wilkerson in Bowling Green, KY where it is cloudy. More rain.
