AIS: Region 4 meeting

I have to make a strong second to Bill and Griff's comments - if you get
a chance to go to another Region 4 meeting, grab it! It was excellent!

Though I couldn't make all the events (and there were a lot), I was
particularily impressed with the judges training by Roy Epperson on the
Ethics of Exhibiting and Judging. I think this would be a great
companion requirement for all judges to have along with the Awards and
Bollots requirement.

THe other thing I was so pleasantly reminded of, was that all this iris
stuff (showing, judging, meeting, touring, whatever) IS SUPPOSED TO BE
FUN! And I dare say these folks know how to do that. I think I almost
fell off my chair a couple times during the auction I was laughing so
hard...

My personal thanks to Bill Smoot for all his behind the scenes providing
good long distance driving directions and a really big welcome. But
there were a bunch of really great people there that I almost feel
guilty singling anyone out.

Anyway, a really great, well run event - my thanks to everyone there...
