Cult: Applying Cygon

Sandy: With respect to your comment about my applying Cygon as a drench
without spraying - let us not mislead the rest of the group. Since there
are no borers her in Oregon, I have not used Cygon since I left New
Jersey. When I had the borer problem in N.J. I did, as Sandy indicated
use a drench, but this was late in the season when I was certain that
all of the larvae that I had missed in the fans had progressed to the
pupal stage and were in the ground. I tried not to spray because there
were my neighbors' seven cats. The only product I sprayed with any
regularity was Agri-Strep because living , as I did, within 15 miles of
the Atlantic bacterial soft rot was a constant problem in the summer
from the heat and high humidity.I still have 2 full quart bottles of
Cygon-2E which I will have to take to the proper authorities for
disposal.
To all my friends - I suspect that Sandy is giving my leg a very strong
pull with his statement about following my advice.
